  • Paddle your kayak, rowboat or canoe on Promised Land Lake or Lower Lake
  • View the eagles from the Wildlife Observation Station at the Lower Lake
  • Visit the Masker Museum at Pickerel Point
  • Stay at a rustic cabin at Bear Wallows near the Lower Lake
  • Attend an environment education program
  • Take a hike on Little Falls Trail off of Lower Lake Road
  • Plan a weekend stay at Pickerel Point Campground or any of the other 6 campground areas

  • Horseback riding trails in the Delaware State Forest
  • Cool off on a hot summer day at the beach (Beaches are smoke-free areas, designated areas are available)

  • Launch your watercraft from any of the 5 boat launch areas around the lake. One boat launch is ADA accessible.  (gas motors NOT permitted)
  • Enjoy a slow ride on the 6.5 miles of paved road around the entire lake (The park is easily accessed from interstate highways 80 and 84. It is within a one to three hour drive from Allentown, Easton, Bethlehem, Reading, Harrisburg, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre. A 2.5 hour drive from Philadelphia and a 2 hour drive from NYC 
  • Picnic or BBQ at the Upper Lake (tables, grills, trash receptacle & restrooms provided)
  • Rent a beautiful lakeside pavilion for your private party including picnic tables, large grill, water, sink, counter, electricity, private restroom and private parking.  Reserve at the Park Office.  Daily rental use:  sunrise to sunset. 
  • Visit the State Park Office for a PL hat, PL tee-shirt, PL sweatshirt, PL mug, PL sticker and more...
  • Play Volleyball at the Lake. 
  • Snowmobile on 23 groomed miles of trails
  • Rent a boat. Rentals are available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend by the hour or day. 
  • The 422-acre Promised Land Lake offers approximately nine miles of shoreline, while the 173-acre Lower Lake has almost four miles of shoreline.
  • There are five boat launching areas. Five boat mooring areas offer a total of 170 mooring spaces, which may be rented from April through October each year. Types of boats include:
  •     Rowboats
  •     Canoes
  •     One- and two-person kayaks
  •     Paddle boats
  •     Electric motors are available for rent.
  • Visit the Concession stand at the beach
  • Shop at The Pine Cone Gift Shop - it has all of your Promised Land Souvenirs & Gifts
  • Relax, listen to the peace & quiet
  • Please, don't feed the wildlife.  If they are fed, and become accustomed to humans, the wildlife is removed.
